, a corporate lawyer, will be in the Boca Raton office. Before he was at FriendFiner Networks Inc. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from Temple University.

 

Michelle Gonzalez, at right, a real estate lawyer, will be in Miami. She has moved from Liebler, Gonzalez Gonzalez, Michelle& Portuondo. She has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of Miami.

, at left, a litigator, in West Palm Beach. She moved from Gunster. A former assistant state attorney and an assistant statewide prosecutor under the Office of the Attorney General, she has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and a law degree from the University of Florida.

Ivan Ramirez named sales director of Sereno in Bay Harbor Islands

 has been named sales director of Sereno, a bayfront property in Bay Harbor Islands. He previously directed sales and marketing for Cerberus Private Equity and Momentis Property Group. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Barry University.

Alvin Lodish, Scott Kravetz at Duane Morris

Scott KravetzScott D. Kravetz, left, and Alvin Lodish have joined Duane Morris as partners in the Alvin Lodish firm’s Trial Practice Group. They were both previously at Daniels Kashtan. Lodish has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and history, and a master’s in public administration, from the University of Pittsburgh, and a law degree from Antioch School of Law. Kravetz has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of Miami.

Mirta Ojito named director, news standards, at Telemundo

Mirta Ojito has been named director, news standards, at Telemundo and will be based in Miami. Her responsibilities will include: reviewing scripts and reports for accuracy and fairness, supporting news IMG_mirta_ojito.jpg_2_1_FP2DMPKO_L58470731management on review processes and ethics training, and providing guidance to Telemundo journalists about news standards. She will also be responsible for training new hires and ensuring that all Telemundo employees are continually educated on NBC News standards and practices, including the use of social media. Before, she was an assistant professor in the Colombia University  Graduate School of Journalism. Previous to that, she was at the New York Times, where she was a member of the reporting team that won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. She has also held various positions at The Miami Herald Publishing Company. Ojito, whose books include Finding Mañana: A Memoir of a Cuban Exodus, has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida Atlantic University and a master’s from Columbia in journalism.

Joel Berger named executive director, Temple Israel of Greater Miami

Joel Berger has been named executive director, Temple Israel of Greater Miami. Before, he was executive director of Beth David Congregation in Miami. At Beth David Congregation, he led the synagogue’s successful 2012 centennial campaign. Previously, he was executive director of University of Miami Hillel in Coral Gables, and earlier served as youth, camp and executive director at Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus in Aventura. He also has been a marketing strategist at Kettler Financial in Coral Gables. He has a bachelor’s degree in management/management information decision systems, and an MBA in marketing and finance, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
