Best advice he ever received:Leland Liebe Headshot Great organizations make routine matters routine. The establishment of processes to accomplish “routine activity” allows the organization to ingest complexity to accomplish goals seldom achieved by those organizations who can't accomplish the “normal.” This advice was provided by Brig. Gen. (then Lieut. Col.) James T. Hirai, who was “the best commander and mentor I ever served with during nearly 25 years of active duty service. He was my battalion commander when I was leading a rifle platoon (as a second lieutenant) in the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii in 1992.”
