Crist makes ethics appointment, is elections chairman soon to follow?

Gov. Charlie Crist today appointed Roy Rogers, president and CEO of Roy Rogers & Associates to the Florida Commission on Ethics. The 9-member panel currently has several vacancies, all of whom need to be appointed by the governor.

Crist has also yet to appoint a chairman to the Florida Elections Commission some 10 months after the term of the last chairman expired.

Rogers is from Lighthouse Point and once worked for Arvida, has served on the board of The Nature Conservancy and has been chairman of the Fair Campaign Practices Committee of Broward County.
