A (literal) sign of the times

With the stock market a mess and dire predictions of an American recession, Mitt Romney wants you to know he is really, really focused on the economy.

A literal sign of this appeal to voter's wallets: Romney's folks switched out his standard "Washington is Broken" banner, which usually hangs above him at events for a spanking new one that proclaims in giant lettering "Economic Turnaround."

(It hung above Romney today when made a stump speech at Keiser University in Sarasota.)

This week, Romney also debuted a new Florida ad touting his business acumen and economic plan - while his camp continued to hammer  Sen. John McCain for voting against the Bush tax cuts, issuing a exclaiming "Talk about a Straight Talk Detour!" - a dig at McCain's famous Straight Talk Express bus.
