Droopy drawers dropped for this year

A bill that would have banned saggy pants in schools is officially dead for the year, after Sen. Gary Siplin, D-Orlando, refused to accept a stripped down bill approved last night by the House.

Late Thursday, Rep. John Legg, a Port Richey Republican, amended Siplin's bill to give dress code authority to local school district boards and not to the Legislature.
