The Sun-Sentinel catches hater-itis from Crist threat letter

Memo to Sun-Sentinel readers: If you read its "breaking news" web story issued via the Associated Press alast night bout a threat letter sent to Gov. Charlie Crist, you might have seen this sentence: "The threat was first reported by a South Florida newspaper on Thursday."

That "South Florida paper:" The Miami Herald. The Sun-Sentinel actually changed the AP copy, too ashamed to own up to getting beaten. (Note: this was an editor move, not a reporter move). Maybe they should call the help team. Everyone in this biz takes a shot and gives a shot once in a while, but c'mon. Responsible papers, like the Sarasota Herald Tribune, just ran the AP piece without the "editing."
