Fl GOP chair: Stop 'partisan witch hunt' against McCollum

It's starting feel like the campaign to replace Gov. Charlie Crist has begun, even though he could very well be in office until 2014.

The Republican Party of Florida took a broad swipe today at Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, a potential Democratic candidate, and condemned recent criticism of Attorney General Republican Bill McCollum, a potential Republican candidate.

"Over the past several days, Alex Sink through surrogates, the Florida Democrat Party, and Democrat-led activist organizations, has orchestrated an effort to destroy the credibility of the Attorney General Bill McCollums Child Predator Cybercrime Unit to further her own political agenda,'' says Jim Greer of the RPOF. "The only people they hurt here are the millions of families across the state who are trying to protect their children from sexual predators. It is shameful that the Florida Democrats are playing politics with the well being of Florida's children."
