Meek gets another endorsement

U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek of Miami has gotten a third union endorsement for his U.S. Senate bid. The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO, plans to make it official this Saturday in Pompano Beach.

"They're known for extremely active and aggressive grassroots mobilizing,'' said Meek spokesman Adam Sharon, who said he is volunteering his time to the campaign until he leaves the congressional office.

Meek has already gotten nods from the Service Employees International Union and the United Teachers of Dade.
