Ron Book, Sarah Bascom on the move

RonbookLobbyist Ron Book has lived in the Governor's Inn for 18 years because he likes to be as close to the Capitol as possible. He just outdid himself.

Book is moving his lobbying business to a space on the back end of Andrew's. "It’s just about as good as it is in this city besides the Florida Retail Federation building," he said. "A space like that only becomes available every decade or two in Tallahassee and we weren't going to let it get away from us."

Book is leasing the space but said he has first dibs on buying it if the owners want to sell. His team expects to move in early June. They are currently in Highpoint Center on College Avenue.

Meanwhile, Sarah Bascom has taken over the Florida operation of Navigators. It's now called Bascom Communications & Consulting. "She wants to grow and expand the Florida operation and we are very supportive and excited about this," her old boss Mike Murphy told the Herald/Times. "She's a tiger and I predict that in another few years she'll be buying our entire operation."
