Democratic Representatives Franklin Sands and Luis Garcia sent a letter earlier this month to Joe Gibbons and Perry Thurston to work out their differences and determine who will lead the caucus before the session begins next month. "Elections can be heated and divisive," the two wrote. And the Democrats don't need that tension hanging over them in the session, they said.
