Uber-lobbyist Brian Ballard hopes on Mitt Romney's team

Brian Ballard, one of Florida's top Republican fundraisers, is joining the Mitt Romney presidential campaign as Florida finance co-chairman and a member of the national leadership team. The Tallahassee lobbyist and former chief of staff for Gov. Bob Martinez, had been one of John McCain's top Florida money men in 2008, as well as a top fundraiser for Charlie Crist and for Gov. Rick Scott's inaugural committee.

“It is an honor to join Mitt Romney’s team in Florida,” said Ballard. “This is the team that will beat President Obama. I look forward to working with Mitt as he campaigns across Florida uniting Americans with the common goal of winning the White House.”
