With every poll showing him well ahead of his GOP rivals, Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson's campaign had a decent fundraising quarter with nearly $2m in contributions. No word yet on how much cash he's burning through (something to watch with some of his GOP rivals), but it's safe to assume that Nelson will have more than $10m in the bank come Election Day.
Nelson's campaign noted that the number of individual donors have increased from 1,416 in the first quarter to 2,358 (a 40% increase in donors over 1st Q) to 5,133 in the third quarter (a 54% increase in contributors over 2nd Q).
