Global fact-checkers investigate claims about women

An informal network of nonpartisan fact-checkers including PolitiFact's PunditFact have collaborated again in recent months for a "factcheckathon," this time fact-checking claims about women for International Women’s Day. Different fact-checkers looked at claims about women’s health, wealth and other topics.

The fact-checks come from organizations in the United States, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and other countries. The topics included claims about ISIS, maternal mortality rate and violence against women.
