Now that Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is out, there's a lot of speculation as to who might seek Marco Rubio's seat in the U.S. Senate.
Among the potential contenders: former Florida House Speaker Will Weatherford, R-Wesley Chapel.
Asked Monday if he was interested, Weatherford was coy.
"I would say, right now, I am hugely focused on growing a business and changing a lot of diapers," said Weatherford, a father of four.
Weatherford said he would wait until after Rubio's official announcement at the Freedom Tower on Monday before commenting any further. But he did say he was interested in what Rubio had to say.
"I think everyone wants to see what his intentions are," he said.
