Marco Rubio's presidential campaign asked supporters for political donations during and after Wednesday night's debate.

As of 3 p.m. Thursday, the effort had resulted in $750,000 in contributions from 14,000 donors, according to a campaign source.

The other Republican who had a big night, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, boasted amassing $1.1 million in the 22 hours after the debate, with an average donation of $54.
