A Univision team will cover Donald Trump's presidential campaign rally Friday at the Trump National Doral golf resort outside Miami, the Spanish-language broadcast network said Thursday -- even though Trump has barred Univision employees from the property.
"Our team will be attending," Univision spokesman José Zamora said in an email to the Miami Herald responding to a reporter's query about whether the network would have access to the resort.
The Trump campaign did not confirm Univision's attendance to the Herald, despite several requests.
The network's Miami studios are adjacent to Trump National Doral. Trump banned Univision workers from his property after a public breakup in which Univision broke off plans to air Trump's Miss Universe pageant in the wake of Trump's remarks calling some Mexican immigrants criminals. Trump then sued the network for breach of contract.
Trump will hold his first campaign rally in Florida -- his home away from home -- at 7 p.m. Friday.
