Donald Trump on Ted Cruz: 'Not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba'

On Saturday, Donald Trump used a rally in Iowa to go after Ted Cruz, who has surpassed him in some polls in that state.

His attack: to question Cruz's evangelical Christian faith -- which attracts a lot of Iowa conservatives -- and remind voters that the Texas senator is Cuban American. (Cruz's father became born-again Christians in the U.S.)

""Not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba, in all fairness," Trump claimed. "It's true. Not a lot come out, but I like him nevertheless."

Trump also called himself an "evangelical."
