In another sign of Jean Monestime's rising star in the Democratic Party, the chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners opened up Tuesday night for Hillary Clinton in Miami.
Appearing on state at the Ice Palace's studio one, Monestime whipped the crowd into a frenzy for the presidential candidate. He celebrated America as a great country, and said it needs a great president.
"Are you ready for President Hillary?" he shouted, leading the crowd into a chant of "Hillary."
Monestime, who is Haitian-American, was recruited to run for Miami-Dade mayor earlier this year by Florida Democrats. He ultimately chose against challenging of Mayor Carlos Gimenez.
