The New York debate, hosted by CNN and NY1, takes place five days before the state’s primary on April 19. With its 247 delegates, the contest is particularly meaningful to Sanders and Clinton, who both call the Empire State home. (Sanders grew up in Brooklyn, and Clinton represented New York in the Senate from 2000 to 2009.)
Though Clinton holds a comfortable lead over Sanders, the Democratic race has become increasingly heated since their last debate match-up in Miami.
They’ve attacked each other (and not always accurately) over trade, campaign donations, guns, number of votes won, and who’s qualified to be president.
