Quite a few South Florida Democrats, including some elected officials, made the Florida Democratic Party's list of statewide delegates to the July presidential nominating convention in Philadelphia.
The list of Hillary Clinton delegates includes Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief, Miami Gardens state Sen. Oscar Braynon, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, Coral Springs state Rep. Jared Moskowitz, activist Millie Herrera, former Weston state Sen. Nan Rich, consultant Freddy Balsera, former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, lobbyist Alex Heckler, fundraiser Chris Korge, former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez, Miami Beach state Rep. David Richardson, consultant Christian Ulvert and Hollywood state Sen. Eleanor Sobel.
The list of Bernie Sanders delegates includes South Miami-Dade state Sen. Dwight Bullard and North Miami City Councilman Alix Desulme.
Delegates had previously been chosen from each congressional district:
District 20, represented by Democrat Alcee Hastings of Delray Beach -- For Clinton: Montjoy "Joy" Cornish-Brown, Diane Glasser, Christine Jones, Jack Brown, Percy Johnson, Ronald Thurston. For Sanders: Crystal Roberts.
District 21, represented by Democrat Ted Deutch of Boca Raton -- For Clinton: Grace Carrington, Terrie Rizzo, Keith Martin, Michael Moskowitz, Jack Shifrel. For Sanders: Diana Hatsis, Rick Neuhoff.
District 22, represented by Democrat Lois Frankel of West Palm Beach -- For Clinton: Joanne Goodwin, Bongsoon Zubay, William "Mike" Coleman, Kenneth "Ken" Evans. For Sanders: Hillary Keyes, Mitchell Stollberg.
District 23, represented by Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Weston -- For Clinton: Diana Pittarelli, Stephanie Grutman Zauder, Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis and Henry Rose. For Sanders: Jamie Friend and John Archer.
District 24, represented by Democrat Frederica Wilson of Miami Gardens -- For Clinton: Miami-Dade School Board member Dorothy Bendross Mindingall, Elizabeth Judd, Edith Owens, Bernard Jennings, Eddie Lewis and Fedrick Ingram. For Sanders: Kira Willig and Chris Riker.
District 25, represented by Republican Mario Diaz-Balart of Miami -- For Clinton: Marco Giron and Doral Councilwoman Sandra Ruiz. For Sanders: Amparo Glukstad.
