Screen Shot 2011-11-10 at 10.02.09 AMCareCloud, the fast-growing healthcare technology company based in Miami, made Forbes' 2014 list of America's Most Promising Companies, landing at No. 28.  With 262 employees and $11 million in revenue, it was the only Florida company to make the annual list of 100 this year.

CareCloud, backed by $55 million in venture capital, provides cloud-based practice management, electronic health record and medical billing software and services for doctors. CareCloud's founder and CEO, Albert Santalo, discussed the past year and what is ahead for the company in a Miami Herald Q&A earlier this month.

No. 1 on the list was California-based Fuhu, which makes educational Android tablets for kids.
