Something's fishy with the frogs

      World wine aficionados are agog at an article in the April 1 edition of the British wine mag Decanter reporting that the French government is banning wine drinking in all outdoor cafes.  Even country picnic sites. Everywhere outdoors, in other words

      Reader responses range from “When is the government going to be overthrown?” to a chorus of  “Poisson d’Avril,” which translates as “April Fish” but appears to mean “April Fool.”

      But Decanter hasn’t fessed up to making ze joke, and some of the responses are taking on a note of alarm, re “Pleeease tell me this is a poisson.”
